POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the specified discipline or a closely related field or equivalent combination of experience is preferred.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with college faculty, staff and students.
3. Fluency in Spanish is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist students with techniques of projects.
2. Maintain inventory of clay and glazes.
3. Mixing of clay and glazes.
4. Load and unload the two electric kilns. Place the unloaded wares on the proper shelves.
5. Clean tables, areas around the sinks and light sweeping of floors.
6. Maintain kiln; includes vacuuming the interior of kiln as well as scraping and washing of kiln shelves.
7. Participate in student retention activities as requested.
8. Promote college educational programs and services to the communities served by WNC.
