POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the specified discipline or a closely related field.
2. Experience teaching college level courses is preferred.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with college faculty, staff and students.
4. Experience with distance education/web teaching modalities is desirable.
5. Fluency in Spanish is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare and sterilize and microbiological media for each weekly lab.
2. Pour petri plates and tubed media for each weekly lab.
3. Prepare chemical reagents for microbiology and general biology lab.
4. Prepare and distribute dyes into dropping bottles.
5. Subculture bacteria for each weekly lab.
6. Make sure the lab is clean and supplies are stored away.
